Well how do I begin? What if I was to tell you the real wear out of a CV joint was there being no grease? It kinda shocked me 2 days ago as I type this. But its kinda true.
It started a month ago when I noticed the leacks from the CV joints. Well despite there being no cracks I decided both joints are fucked. And well it wasnt the case. What was the case was 2 fuck ups I made.
First one was accidently getting 2 driver side joints whem I meant for a dricer and passenger. And I started fucking with the passenger side. Second fuck up was yanking on it witch dislocated the bearings. So tge thing was crippled for a day or 2. Then the day after my grandpa and I discovered that well you kinda have to put the bearings just at the right angle when inserting the thing and you dont need to hammer it in at all.
Discovering that saved alot of bullshit. And it was mostly fixed. I still need to re grease & re seal the drivers inner CV boot. Also Im not sure how long these zip ties will last on on the passenger boots and will problably want new metal clamps soon.
An importan thing. If you push on the gas pedal and the car shakes sideways. That mean theres a dislocation of the inner cv joint some were. And you want to park home and unfuck it beofore causing damage and turning your car inro a corpse. So if your car shakes to the sode wile pressing the gas pedal. Slow the fuck down and unfuck it before going for a distance beyond Id say 15 miles.
