I love the internet for the information that is at my fingertips. I work on machinery and getting specifications and parts for stuff use to be very time consuming back in the day.

That being said, I really don't think social media has been good for society. No face to face interaction, lots of times not even phone conversations. Even in the world of work it's really changed things. We used to go to liquidation auctions and that was a big part our networking. We'd be all eating our greasy lunch truck food, making jokes, busting each other's balls, making little side deals. Now most bidders are online, we don't get to interact at all.

Now what the internet has done to women is unbelievable. I mean women have always been narcissistic and always worried about appearances, but the internet has just made that exponentially worse. And when I was young and dating in the 70's and 80's being a slut was shameful. It wasn't all "You go girl" bs. Not to mention women are masters of creating a fake online persona.
