OCD is horrible. I had it SO SO bad in 2017 and I still have it a bit now. I literally went to A&E about it once (Accident and Emergency - at the hospital. I don't know if that name is just a UK thing) and then went to stay with my parents for a bit because I was a wreck.
It's much better now because after all these years I've come up with strategies and "mantras" and whatever else.
My current one is based on realising that even though the "threats" that OCD says are pretty scary, the "triggers" for them are always nonsense (eg touching something a certain number of times).
Therefore how can something so nonsensical cause the threat to happen?
