I can't stand playing easy games that never escalate in difficulty. It feels the same to me as playing a cookie clicker. I get no satisfaction or enjoyment for it. Honestly, I get bored and would rather just sleep or jerk off.

Dynasty warriors, Monster Hunter starting with World, Nintendo games, ubislop, basically any popular game. Souls are popular but only because they're trial and error and don't actually take skill.
I don't play most popular games because my system is a potato. Most time I just play old low requirement games for their sorry.

It does take skill to be able to learn through trial and error, a skilled player will learn the bosses moveset and beat the boss in less deaths than an unskilled player. Just because you fight a boss 100 times, doesn't mean that you're going to improve in the fight. Most normies bin souls games after dying too many times because they're garbage at video games and are unable to improve.

I typically kinda hate the trial and error aspect of souls games. The only reason why I play souls is character building runs / challenge runs, they kinda vary in playthrough, playstyle, risks and challenges. My fav game contender is Dark Souls 1 and they're extremely rewarding whenever you finally complete one. Another thing I like about souls is the different vibe and how the lore kinda connect towards the gameplay so well and it's something i've never seen before. Dark Souls is an masterpiece of art.

I am playing doom 2016 and its fun only if you find the game difficult. Difficulty is the only thing going for it. I feel FPS games in general are boring unless they are difficult.
What do you think about eternal the enemy variety is much better and weapon switching is the most underrated gameplay design imo. The game forces you into constant danger and thrill and it's adrenaline fuel af. I think it's probably the best action game ever.

I might play it next. Doom 2016 was my first doom. I have read a bit about what eternal has to offer and i think i will love it. Doom 2016 doesn't require any tactics other than just jumping around and shooting. The guns you get later into the game are super strong and make the guns you get prior to them useless. I only play using the super shotgun and the guass cannon(with precision mod). There really no need to switch to the other weapons. I have only read about eternal and what i understand from it is that certain enemies are weak to a certain type of gun which would require to constantly switch between guns and it won't feel forced.
