I'm so glad I didn't want to become a comedian

Through out all my life I get told I'm funny. That I can make most people laugh. It would be natural for me to have become a comedian. But one day I thought to myself, "Why should I?" That doesn't sound very fun for me. Comedians are known for being depressed. All my material would be how I have less going for me than neuro typical people. They don't deserve a Jester. What makes them think they can just decide who and who shouldn't serve them. Sure, I could have been rich and famous. But I would have never actually achieved anything.

UKcels; have you noticed that being a comedian in the UK is like a last resort job for many nearcels?

you should have asked yourself "Why am I funny?" too.
people find odd looking people who act goofy funny, just like clowns.

Most stand-up comedians are poor as fuck, alone, fat, old, depressed and live in tiny shoebox apartment in a disgusting city just scrapping by through entertaining normies in half-empty comedy clubs. I literally can't think of a worse career choice. Only a maniac would subject themselves to such misery.

If I wanted to become a comedian, I would want to write jokes. Not just observational comedy. When I was young, jokes were actually told.
