Word of advice, don't take the insults personally. Some brocels here are really having a hard time and your "I'm peaceful" speech most likely triggers the remembrance of a negative experience in their past. It even does so for me too a little bit, but not as much as many others here. You'll get used to it. Thanks man, appreciate this. I have a disorder and am very ugly and short (almost 5'4") because of it. People (strangers) treat me like shit, as in, they react to me in some sort of negative way (stare at me, talk about me, laugh, take pics). This has been going on since I'm 12, and I'm 26 now. First in school and by strangers, now I'm out of college, 97 out of 100 people will react in some negative way when they see my face/head. These are ADUTLS. And kids will laugh when they see me or ask their parents why I look so strange. Some even make fun of me as they can't tell that I'm a male.
So yeah, I'm in a miserable situation too. And yes, I'd like a cute and kind girlfriend. But violence will only make my situation worse, not that I think of committing any violence. I am angry, and rightly so, because people treat me like shit, not like a normal human. Just because of the disability I have.
