It also could provide me with a chance to go to a new area & see how things are- essentially just having a fresh start somewhere.

There also is the fact of the matter that I may actually be able to have meaningful connections through this, not to mention the one time the government somewhat gives a shit about you here is when you're an employee.

May not be a bad idea. Just realize starting out in any government job is fucking cancer- since you’ll be treated like a “boot” basically babied around until they trust you.

There are benefits and perks for working for the government, for sure. Any law enforcement/Military related role has expectations for you once you join. Apart from being able to handle a gun, you need to be able to handle yourself physically.

They’ll catch you up to speed if you apply yourself.
