yes, if you eat shitty food its going to be a bit harder for your muscles to recover especially if you dont get enough protein. the biggest factor in building muscle is the amount of calories you eat though. if you eat shitty food but you are in an caloric surplus you will still get decent muscle provided you get enough sleep and train properly. but for optimal gains it would be better if you eat very clean and track macros but honestly who the fck wants to do that.
