There is a real difference that maybe Democratic socialists are not any sort of dialectical materialists or ideological Marxist leninists, they don't believe in a bolshevik revolution or protracted peoples war, they participate in electoral politics and often aren't against private property in entirety. This does not spare them from the same issues as all leftists have.
The prominent issues of the modern left are more social or tribal than they are to do with the economic mode of production being changed, they are pro mass immigration even illegal, soft on crime or even pro crime, anti border, pro Islam, pro queer, anti white, and pro wealth redistribution (specifically by taxing white people to give "free stuff" to nonwhites).
We must note that zohran was elected in a vast majority nonwhite city, this win could've never happened if it was 1960 majority white New York. He obviously knew this, and in his victory speech he thanked every foreign ethnic group for his victory by name but not white Americans. Democratic socialism and social democracy has been unmasked, they do not want us to look like Denmark or the Nordic countries, they want us to look like Haiti, Pakistan, Somalia, and Nigeria. They want a nation of ethnic enclaves that vote by racial interest to disposes foundational white Americans.
This is why democracy as a whole is a sham, if you can import foreign votes like the Democrats do, then national sovereignty is lost. The idea of democracy was in my opinion to be self determination of the nations people to choose what they want for the country, but if you import 50 million racially alien foreigners who will all vote for your party, the American peoples will no longer matters because a majority of votes will not even be from Americans. It is not only a form of electoral fraud but a way to implement peaceful invasion and takeover of foreigners without an outright war, the death of a nation. Therefore democracy is suicidal, we need something else if we care about our nation. Not many people on this site do care though, I can't blame them.
