Yes. They had me on about five different painkillers, including one that gets injected into some nerves branching off from the spine so the pain immediately after the amputation wasnt very bad.

Before the amputation when my leg was dying was the worst part. Everything felt numb and painful at the same time, which sounds contradictory but thats how it felt. I couldnt move anything but my toes, which is a scary experience.

Phantom limb pain can be bad but they gave me oxycodone which does a good job of shutting down the pain and also it gets me a little high. I can feel my foot sometimes even though its not there anymore.

Yes, but not for another couple of months. For now i hop around on one leg with a walker and also i have a wheelchair. I mostly use the walker instead of the chair because i want to build up strength in my remaining leg.
