Genuinely curious why you've chosen a full size to cc - I mean, I would only carry 17 if I open carry as a part of my job (e.g. a cop or a security guard). Even tho I am fat, even 19/23 is something I'd only do in colder months (when I can cover it with clothing).
Anyway, to each its own, just wondering why full size. Do you also carry spare mags?

True, but there's still a thin line where extra size / capacity starts being more of a burden/risk/inconvenience, otherwise everyone would be running around with AR-style rifles with 60 or whatever rounds drums

I've never heard of that Ferfal blog, thanks for the hint - I'll have a look. Many years ago I read some other SHTF blog by a dude who presumably survived balkan war in 1990s, but the only thing I remember about weapons from that blog is to try going with a common caliber - nobody will give a flying fuck in a bad shtf scenario that your fancy 10mm or 357sig or whatever other cool caliber has better penetration if you can't find ammo anywhere. Ironically I think it is even easier to find those obscure calibers as all mainstream ones are flying off the shelves in seconds.

I have the same handgun. It fits my hands better, and has less recoil. Also, a very important thing: Don't carry special and uncommon guns, so you will not be considered as some gun nut when the DA will decide to charge you or not (if something happen). Be as common and regular person as possible. Glock 17 with regular hp ammo will do the trick.
