I have now had a couple of hours on my Switch 2 and I have to say, thank god I didn't let all the negativity online sour this launch for me. This machine is incredible. I am replaying the start of TOTK and the popping colours, larger screen and better framerate make this feel miles better than playing it on my Switch OLED. Mario Kart World is also incredibly beautiful, the animations and everything happening while you drive around the tracks is going to bring a big smile to most people's faces.

I also have to say, the feel of this thing is so premium. I absolutely love the look and how it sits in my hands, again much better than the OLED. It does feel like much less of a toy, and not something I would give to a child (wait for a Switch 2 lite). Even the pro controller does feel better than the original, something about the texture of it and the sticks being so smooth.

Look, if they release an OLED model with amazing battery life in 3-4 years I will probably be one of the first people to trade in this Switch 2 and buy it, but I really would not choose to wait and hope for that when what we have already is a great peice of kit for the price.

I really think the commentary around gaming is becoming so toxic with people trying to make daily content to bash everything in existence. The truth is I don't need a thousand games to play this year, let alone on launch, I actually like that Nintendo keep their releases apart so you can actually have time to spend doing what gaming is about... playing the games.

Have fun everyone.... all aboard the launch day hype train!!!

Forget about Mario Kart World, if you haven't played Cyberpunk 2077, get it for $70. It's so much fun and I'm sinking so much time into it. It's beautiful on both portable and docked. Very few compromises made, runs smoothly.
I get it that it's a five year old game, but a good game is a good game, regardless of age, and for me, first time playing it, it's a brand new experience.

Don't buy one. Just buy a playstation, xbox or gaming PC and game for almost free.

Adjusted or NOT adjusted for inflation, games are cheaper than they have even been- as long as you stay away from Jewtendo since they charge up to $80 per game

You can easily game for a $10 monthly subscription onPC/Xbox game pass or PS+ and play games such as NG4, Death Loop, Forza, Ninja Gaiden 2 black, Far Cry, Diablo, Halo infinite, Doom The Dark Ages etc. on gamepass. I don't plan on buying ANY games this year unless gta 6 comes out. I will just play ng2 blk, ng4, overwatch 2, Doom the Dark Ages for free on my PC game pass.

Unless you are a complete retard who pays full price for all their games and don't know about PS+ or xbox/PC game pass or are willing to dish out hundreds if not THOUSANDS a year on $85 games w/ tax such as Mario Kindergarten Kart and Donkey Shit- games are cheaper than ever before.

Which soyddit thread did you copy that from

My Joy-Cons did have stick drift unfortunately, but these things do happen and isn't Nintendo's fault.

I didn't mind going to the store to buy some more Joy-Cons, and while I was there, I picked up some Amiibos and a Switch 2 Pro Controller, which, by the way, feel absolutely amazing!

As a Switch owner i kind of accepted that i'm gonna have to buy multiple copies of games i like. 4 copies of Animal Crossing during covid lockdown was money well spent. 4 Mario Kart World, 4 Mario Kart 8, 4 Diablo 3, 4 Torchlight 2, 4... Well, you get the picture.
I have my favorites on PC, and i'm gonna buy them on SW2 when they come out for the system. As of family members...if we want to play together, sure.
Altough i'd add that Nintendo does try to be helpful in this regard. Game Share and Virtual Cartridges are there to share and lend games to family members, but yes if you want to give them unrestricted access, extra copies will be needed. If it's something we gonna play for a long time (Animal Crossing, Mario Kart etc.) i would get those for them, sure.

There it is :feelshaha:
Say it louder for the people in the back! I just bought this yesterday and the visuals are so wholesome and colorful, and Mario's bing bing wahoos sound better than on my Switch Premium OLED Undertale Limited Edition too! I might ask my wife if I should buy another one when she's back from visiting her friend Tyrone, we're gonna have such a fricking blast!

Can't wait to buy it in a few years when it gets jailbroken and program jew boss fights in smash bros
