The whole point of the date is to get to know the person you ask out. Why are you paying to get to know them? If they couldn’t afford the place you end up going to, why’d they say yes? Never made sense why this was expected. But it should be expected that you’d pay for your own food. I’d probably stop dating a woman for feeling so entitled to my money without me even knowing them. No other case in my life does such an expectation come up. Why do some ladies even think that is reasonable?

THIS IS WHY TEEN SEX AS A TEEN IS SO IMPORTANT.
