I've read one of the threads from our "must read" section and it's really eye opening. Basically, TLDR wise, bullied employees who work hard are accused to be lazy bullies due to the halo effect.

My interpretation of the message is, basically, don't work hard and put any more effort than you need to, when you work for someone else. In this clown planet, the good guys are made to be the bad guys, the just are made to be injust, and the bullied are made to be bullies.

Of course, you are allowed to work hard for things that you own. In fact, the study doesn't affect this field. For example, if you work on a game, feel free to input 200% effort on it. But if the game is owned by someone, then just do the bare minimum.

That's why I only work when I'm given a task, otherwise I play games all day.

I remember one time at my old College, I was positive I had the highest grades in my program. One of the few times in my life where I was CERTAIN I would get the award at the graduation ceremony. And you know what happens? They give it to some fucking Mexican instead, who didn't have better grades, but won it for "other reasons."
