I have an uncle who is like you describe yourself, that even my grandparents mock his looks. He mated some hotties before though, but when you see his personal life you know why - he is rich bastard, huge charisma, high iq. And even then, dude got heart broken everytime, which sometimes even makes me think being alone is not that bad.
Once you are ugly, you simply cannot have a healthy relationship with women, because they will at best see you as a gold mine, never as real partner. It's not very different from having sex with a prostitute.
