I had such high hopes for Elder Scrolls Online. So many of my favorite skyrim mods are ports of shiny swords and cool armour sets from ESO. I unironically thought ESO would have all the good looks of my modded Skyrim, but with the stability of being base game.
But instead it's just fucking ghey. Most of the important characters are women, or dudes who loyally simp for their queen. The lighting and colour scheme feels like a cartoon. You can't pick up weapons and armour off fallen enemies on the ground. Combat seems to be about 90% dicerolls, there is very little point trying to move around and dodge your enemy's swing, you might as well just stand there and spam your best attacks and see whose health bar goes down fastest.
All the stories seem amateurish and stupid, like they approached the c-list or the d-list of modders to generate all the quests.
I feel like I need to give it a bit more of a chance, and get at least one character to a decent level before I write it off. But I'm struggling to keep the motivation, ngl dedsrs.
