The problem with your theory OP is that there are ugly guys who regularly have sex with ugly women but don't feel fulfilled and still have low self esteem despite regular access to sex with a landwhale.

Sex with ATTRACTIVE women whose judgement you value can be a great self-esteem booster, of course. That doesn't mean it's the ONLY way to be real/healthy/high-esteem/fulfilled though.

I believe there are other things that can make life bearable too.
