It's because I have never even been able to make friends my entire fucking life from preschool to college, and if I can't even do that basic task, then it's not my place to even dream of having somebody who loves and cares for me. I have been broken by a society that has rejected me time and time again. I could be a naive idiot and keep trying to go outside and hoping to find any shred of human connection, or I could start seeing the pattern and start realizing that no matter what I try, it isn't going to work out.
