Serious If US gets rid of electoral vote then...

all of this is is giga cope conservatives are too cucked these days and just virtue signal theyd never actually defend 2A
Conservatives get the book thrown at them if they resist what is happening while the other side gets handled with kid gloves

Rural states should declare their independence because popular vote would be decided by Urban states like California and New England

Why would a state be a part of a union if they unable to get a say

Thoughts?

Illegals already win the Democrats CA's 55 electoral votes so in a way, the popular vote already contributes to the election.

It was very diverse. Diverse in culture.

Different states were like different countries until the Yankees came and tightened the federal government and fucked us over. You wouldn’t say “I’m from the United States” before the civil war, you’d say “I’m from Louisiana” or “I’m from Kentucky”
True I do believe in mor
you're such an obnoxious faggot

There are plenty of big city big industry rich people who could take their assets and form a Republican empire in, like, Texas. Elon Musk threatened to do it because he didn't like the coronavirus regulations. Pretty sure there's more American money in conservative/Republican interests than Democrat interests.
The counties that voted for Clinton in 2016 accounted for 64% of the United States' GDP; Trump country accounted for the remaining 36%. Even in Texas, much of the state's economic output comes from its most liberal areas: Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Austin.

You'd actually be correct about having "more money" in Republican interests...back in 2012. But Trump's brand of nationalism and populism, unlike Romney's moderate fiscal conservatism, repels college-educated voters and the upper-middle-class.

In any case, it's a pipe dream. There's not going to be a civil war no. 2 and you know it.

The people in those counties, not the businesses or their CEOs. The CEOs themselves could move their industry to red areas and say "Hey conservatives, come work for me."

Rural states which are usually red get cucked by their blue cities.
democracy is a joke their should be a permanent government leader ruled by law and kicked out if he breaks that rule of law.

Exactly. Dumbfucks dont get this. Without electoral college, all of those mid western states become negligible. Candidates would only campaign in California and on the east coast because thats where all of the voters are. That means most states will not have fair representation because they do not matter to the president.
