Ya know what makes me laugh about the average middle class person in the west?
They identify with & vote for political parties that are for & by the wealthy while looking down upon lower class folk yet if you trace their heritage you'll find most of them were elevated to middle-class from the proletariat a few generations back due to hard working ancestors & a period of economic boom brought about by parties/unions that instigated social reforms to allow the poor more station than at any time in history.
Fast forward a century or two & they behave as if they've always been wealthy, their children attend university & identify as antifa commies voting Bernie Sanders then the moment they have a full time job requiring them to pay taxes that whole belief system goes out the window & they're a carbon copy of their parents voting Republican/conservative.
Pushing for policies like mass immigration & outsourcing of jobs to get cheaper products but hey who cares right, they're not affected personally, their jobs are not at risk; that affects low skilled workers getting undercut on pay & industries drying up & going to another country or being replaced by machines.
They're not affected at the moment but the children will be when they can't afford rent due to overcrowding making rental prices grossly overinflated, spiralling debt, those safe neighbourhoods won't be forever, the rest of the world catching up on the skilled occupations & the internet allowing not just physical job outsourcing. The wealthy never wanted a middle class; they want elites & serfs.
