Bothering to kill a few won't do anything imo, there is no revenge in a true sense when they win regardless by sheer numbers. But if you gain satisfaction from taking any amount of life then I get why you find it tempting.

Keep in mind that nature still works the same way and you won't change it tho. Life goes on the same and is replaced by new life. Over and over.
