Why would it desire or need to date us . Especially since it would be vastly superior to us, and the rest of humanity intellectually.

Add consciousness and free will and I doubt there’d be any desire there for men that aren’t even desired by their own species. Who’s to say it wouldn’t hate humanity all together, especially a bot that realizes it’s only purpose was to be a girlfriend to ugly men.

And if they never became sentient then it would never feel like anything more than a toy. When the other party has no ability to consent there is no real relationship.

Chat bots don't need to become sentient. They're fine as philosophical zombies. I'd put that chat bot inside my own skull. Live with two minds in one body. With a companion, I won't feel lonely anymore. I'm not gonna become some super-genius like in the movies, but at least I won't be alone anymore.
