Tbh, it was a lot easier to be a mathematician, physicist or someone employed in the academics in the 20th and all centuries before that than it is now just cos the immense amount of brain rot and loss of concentration and focus the popular internet can cause
Dinarics or Illyrians or pre slavic migrations Baltic populations were taller even in the Roman era, slavic migrations just brought their language and culture with them as an invading tribe not genetic change, like it's not a bronze age genocidal population exchange it was a migrations and even in the Roman era Illyrians and baltics were considered to be good soldiers cos they were taller and bigger and that province was chosen for a lot of recruitment drives
They aren't necessarily better, but it's nice to have at least some counterweight in the world. Even if the West will be more or less dominant in the foresseable future, it doesn't need to be anywhere near as powerful as it was in the 1990-2000s period, which thankfully doesn't seem like it's ever going to repeat. Even better if it stays an economic bloc, nobody actually needs some massive military alliance in Eurasia, but an economic bloc that mostly works to increase trade between its members I believe everyone can live with.
