My grandmother passed away like this; stayed confined to a hospital bed for the last month of her life. Why can't euthanasia be more commonplace?
To answer your question, OP, I would say, entirely depending on how much torment and disgrace you can handle, I'd personally say around 60 years of age would be a good time to go, because that's around the time just before the body begins to weaken immensely.

30 for me personally. I would do it earlier but there's things I want to do before I leave for good.
Suicide is never a good thing and my heart breaks to see anyone have to go through with it. But I can't act like a hypocrite as I know it's my only choice unless I just want to prolong suffering. It's going to take alot of guts and courage, but I know I have no choice. I rather just skip and get straight to hell.
