Because... friends and family are great but they're not much help if you're all starving to death!

I tend to like using money as the absolute core foundation and then anything else is a bonus.

At least then I can put the heating on and be safe and cosy with ample food ^_^

Thing is like... when I was 17 I had loooaaaads of friends! So many! My goodness. XD

And a really nice family too.

And it was great don't get me wrong. The best time of my life.

BUT... and this is a big but!

They go. Fast. Faster than you would believe. And then all you have is old letters and stuff. Whereas money doesn't abandon you like that, as weird as that sounds.

I guess what I'm saying is I don't think it's good to RELY on friends and family. They can disappear very fast and before you know it you are cold and alone with nothing.

Money and qualifications and things like that make a way better core foundation.
