I'm pretty sure he's been anti-ukraine since the war started. He doesn't want to fund it and in his opinion ukraine has no place in NATO and it doesn't deserve any help in the war that they have started (not russia). I'm not sure what Orban was like because I'm honestly not interested enough

Poland is like the last country that's qualified to pull a "fuck all" nationalist policy unfortunately. They're sandwiched in between Russia and Germany and so they need strong allies. Namely the UK and USA. There's quite a big power discrepancy between Poland and Russia.

Historically it's never gone well for countries stuck in between two strong countries.

It's why Poland has sought economic ties recently with China. They need all the money that they can get to have a strong economy and strong military.
