Luckily, I had strong parents, a strong Church community, had friends who hated LGBTQ+ stuff and being young boys in the late 2000s, we all made fun of shit we didn't like as "gay". However, I was easily pulled into different movements. I was a communist at one point in my life, I was a wannabe gangsta at another, I was a Neo-Nazi in my teenage years, I was a wannabe vegan at another time (became a big animal rights person after seeing factory farms online). I never became LGBTQ+ because even until I was 15, we all made fun of that stuff. There was one gay kid in my highschool, although this was after gay-marriage was uniformly accepted, there was still stigma to being gay, and trans were still seen as weirdo freaks.
If I grew up in today's society, I don't know how I wouldn't have been drawn to that shit. It's disgusting how they're showing it to kids who can't make their minds up yet. One reason I wouldn't want to have a kid in the West, if I did ascend somehow and had a kid I'd much prefer Eastern Europe.
