Maybe objects do have some sort of consciousness but on a very primordial level that very sensitive people can tap on to

I believe plants have a consciousness. But objects like toys or a car? Nah. Maybe if they were possessed. Or maybe if believe they do so hard that you're able to convince yourself they do.

Some shamanic cultures seems to believe in this too

as a small kid youre still learning to empathize, mistakenly you might project sentience on to things that dont posses any. thats my theory on this

I feel that way about my car, because I had it for almost 15 years and had lots of memories with it.

Good theory.

Through the exhaust or the fuel tank? Either way, I dunno if I could bring myself to do that xD

Same tbh maybe it's an incel trait. I remember i used to cry when i lost my pencils or toys because i thought they were alive and they would be sad without me
