I want another person as miserable as me and have a toxic codependency with like Misaki-chan from welcome to the nhk. I just want someone to come to me and "care" for me like Misaki in nhk:(

It will never happen:incel:

sadly there never will be as it only exists in anime and anime is fantasy :(

I remember when I finished welcome to the nhk the concept of it made me really depressed

I feel the same

theres a reason its called fiction, and misaki is hypergamous and wouldn't have done it if satou wasn't chad.

I like the author didn't pair them together in the end, it just wouldn't be realistic

women would never bother caring for us in any more, theyre too busy getting used by chad.

The author certainly didn't care about realism when the MC just decided to start getting better and found a job pretty much immediately:feelshaha:, as if finding a job IRL was that easy.

I would've loved if there was a series which would hammer down the fact that, just because you really try and give it your all, it doesn't mean that you will get anything. Would've been a perfect concept for a regression show where the MC dies from cold and not having gotten enough food in a shitty apartment after genuinely trying his best to get his life together, in his dying moments wishes he spent more time playing video games, watching porn and overall just having fun since he was doomed anyway, then gets reset a couple of months back and gets a second chance to actually enjoy life.

it was extremelly easy in japan in those times, the point being
when you starve, you finally fucking push yourself to do the shit that matters hunger is the raw primal whip that forces you to hunt and shit no excuses, just pure animal drive
the other neet when her sister was arrested finally left home and got a job too, that was so satisfactory

Yeah, early-2000s Japan was still near its peak, so that tracks. I wonder whether if such a series was created today, it would be closer to what I've thought about, now that Japan's GDP per capita is much closer to world average and the world in general is more pessimistic. Hunger can push you however much it wants, but that alone doesn't mean you'll get results, and the current-day audience would probably be more receptive to it.
