Probably the greatest virtue considered by many especially in christian nations is that of self sacrifice. We know that men are far more likely to actually live this virtue than women are especially when you consider divorce rates and how they are overwhelmingly initiated by women. However it's one thing to look at the actual result vs what people will say to your face. People are more likely to lie about their virtue when asked on a survey/questionnaire. I always wanted someone to go on the street and ask let's say 100 men the question Do you think a husband should sacrifice his happiness for that of his wife? I think if you aksed this question to 100 men they would likely give you a blank stare as if you're a retard. Obviously a man should do so. If the same question is asked to 100 women though, I'm not sure what they would say? We know the reality is that they don't believe they should uphold this virtue for their husband. I wonder if women will straight up say that yes they should while at the same time spitting on this virtue. Or will women be so brazen as to actually admit they should not be expected to be virtuous in this regard. I honestly don't know which is why I'd love for someone to do it one day.

America is a hedonistic country as are most countries are in the West. I doubt many people, men or women, would truly hold the belief that they will sacrifice their happiness for their s/o even if saying so in public. Nobody gives a fuck about any one else as nearly everyone is selfish and entitled.

you mean something like this?

ah that is different. He's asking sacrifice their life so we already know men are expected to do so. I mean just the general nature of a relationship. Aka men are ok with working 80 hour weeks to care for some lazy toilet. But women think it's ok to divorce if they feel "unfulfilled."
