Both languages sound very appealing imo, they also are very commonly used in many fields of art, literature, music, etc.

German has always fascinated me for sure, especially considering it once was the second most commonly spoken language in the US after English.

Both would be quite a challenge, but regardless it would probably be a good way to cope.

Why?
There is little utility in speaking either languages. Russia has a different alphabet (which is relatively hard to learn) and in order to speak German properly you need to invest a decade of your life because the grammar is just so complicated.

Trust me, I am not a native Germ-an speaker and so I've had to learn this retarded language for the better part of my life. Being able to live in Germany is nice for economic reasons but this country is ropefuel.
