I tend to prefer quieter restaurants, more often than not hotel restaurants, mainly populated by retired boomers, business travellers, well-off local residents looking for a good meal, people who don't really care about "being seen". The kind that doesn't have loud music, flashy decor, or a large Tyrone doorman. I just get to quietly enjoy a meal, sip on my drink, a wh[UWSL]ite-gloved server scrapes the breadcrumbs off my tablecloth every now and then. I say thank you, he or she asks me how my last course was, I might have a quick chat with the sommelier but other than that they don't hover or make excessive small talk. [/UWSL][UWSL]I also almost never dine out on Friday or Saturday evenings. I guarantee you those times will be jam-packed with normalfags and service will be slow. I have a flexible schedule outside of term-time, I more often than not decide to eat out at the last minute, and when I do book restaurants I often do so when they are less busy or have a last-minute vacancy and they will be glad to just have a butt in a seat. [/UWSL]
Restaurants aren't stupid either, modern booking systems a la OpenTable and Bookatable track my email, my phone number. So does Amex concierge. They also let restaurants know what my allergies are, if any, and more. A maitre d' at a place I've never dined before can look at a list of other places I've dined at and my spending patterns. I mean, even if a normalfag is disturbed by my subhumanity and wants me out, so fucking what? I will just take my business to any one of the 150 other nice restaurants there are in a 2-mile radius. [UWSL]They know that solo diners like peace and quiet and they'll put me closer to a wall instead of the center of the room, where normies prefer to be (this also has the benefit of me not being as visible, which is a win-win for everyone). I [/UWSL][UWSL]know some restaurants which even remove the other chairs on my table prior to the start of service, without me making such a request, so I won't be reminded that I am a lonely truecel when I stare at an empty chair. Extremely thoughtful. Also, I don't dress like a hobo.[/UWSL]
