It really depends on what type of shows you like. There have been some anime I really loved, some I absolutely despised, and everything in between.

Same, somebody recommended Death Note too and I found it mid. It kinda got slow after the first 15ish episodes. Novelty of the concept wore off and it felt like the story was being dragged too far

I saw AoT after that because some youtuber I used to watch back in the day talked about it and the show blew my mind
