Not a particularly original metaphor, but being an incel is as if the universe were a horizontal plane and upon that plane were all the individuals and if that individual were to reject an approaching individual it would be as if impossibly tall and unyielding walls were to surround them. So to an incel this plane is, in it's totality a maze of unyielding and impassable walls. No matter how far an incel travels or which direction we turn it's nothing but walls.
