When I was a kid, I've already figured out that it was most likely that I won't find my other half. It may be cope, but I took a nihilistic approach to romantic relationships by asking the question "does it really matter?".

I know that for a meaningful life, it does matter. But instead of destroying myself over it, I used other stuff to cope with that either through video games or anime.

It DOES matter. Maybe not the most important thing ever but it surely does matter. Same think with socialising from an early age. Which makes it even more fucked up because whether you get it is based on something completely arbitrary. You miss out on certain experiences and things that build you up from childhood, you learn certain things that are important and you naturally understand how human interraction works. Sub5s and autismcels are fucked in this regard because no one wants to be seen with sub5s and autismcels don't notice or struggle to notice social queues
