Dalit isn't a caste though , it consists of many castes. That's how caste is perpetuated even a lowe caste dalit has other lower caste he thinks is lower than him and hates , since it isn't clear as caste doesn't have a clear hierarchy it results in different dalit castes hating each other and thinking they are superior.

Politics is heavy caste appeasement. People vote in groups. This politics enters jobs and education in the form of reservation. People are selfish, everyone wants benefits. This is why caste system will never die unless there is a leader " powerful " enough to remove reservation which is near impossible in a democracy. There will always be " oppressed " castes, even if they become rich. And yeah bollywood is nepotism, ofcourse it will be dominated by certain castes.
