If I were to hypothetically be caught, I could be arrested yes
I would be brought to a station where I might be held briefly depending on the circumstances of my arrest

At this point the police would decide if they have enough evidence to charge me
If they felt they did, I would then be released

In a matter of months, maybe 6mo-year or more, given how trivial and low priority the case is
I would then appear in court

If the evidence was damning I would most likely plead guilty and make a deal
Given I have no criminal record and the offense is non violent it would be a slap on the wrist
doubt I would even be put on the registry
