I know at some point it was counterculture but that ceased to be a long time ago... now it's just singers and fans who pose at being independent or rebellious for the most part.
This isn't a universal condemnation, I know there's some songs I've liked, but the more I hear some played the more garbage it sounds.
Just a bunch of fucking screeching that guys will listen to to try and seem manly and aggressive and shit. Insecure beta posturing.
The stereotype in my mind is someone trying to bother other people, who will blare music not out of inconsiderate delight in it, but just because it bothers others.
It's the same nigger-tier behavior that ghetto thugs do with most rap music but for whites.
There are always going to be exceptions, there's some rap I like much like with rock, but the VAST majority, fuck it's actually making me tolerate normy shit like country music more because at least the sound is less abrasive and I don't think they're as prone to noise pollution inside homes, they just do shit like play it from pickup trucks or festivals which is fine because it doesn't intrude on me.
