I get high when I play so that may make my opinion dogshit but i digress.

I will be honest I was bored to tears in the beginning but I took an edible right before I started up the game... boy howdy was that a good Idea.

I did the start up and started playing the cutscenes. As soon as it got to the part in the cave with the sexy woman with the umbrella my high was starting to kick in a little. I then became hooked when those weird BT hands were stomping around.

the story is so crazy stupid and outlandish you really get into it when you are stoned, it's like a weird covid quarantine doomsday with lovecraftian horrors and you become a usps worker for eldrich horror ruled ruined america with themes of ocean horrors exclusively.

I also get major dopamine from the likes system from fellow players.

you get likes from other players using your equipment / signs or using structures you've built. with those likes you rank up some of your character skills. I have become addicted to just aiding others by building ladders in good spots or bridges over awful territory, I log onto it like a job to place more stuff for others to use.

And the characters are flat most times and have that metal gear stank to them like fucking diehard-man.

it is probably a 7.7/10 for me, buy it on sale, preowned, or pirate it tho.

I got it for free but still haven't played it. How cutscene heavy is it?

very heavy in the beginning but it does a lot of world building and setup, after you get sent out with the Q-pid for the first time the majority of your story comes in little voice over calls while you explore, accept main line missions, and rest in your private room

you can skip almost every cutscene too so you don't really have to sit through them like regular Kojima games

I got it on the Epic store for free in 2022 I think. The normal edition so unsure if I'm missing a lot compared to the director's cut. Haven't played it and tbh this game never interested me when trailers and gameplay videos came out. It just looks too boring. Amazon or uber eats delivery man simulator kek

Is the normal edition worth it or Kojima left the story unfinished to have an excuse to release the director's cut later?

The director cut just adds more stuff after main line story missions (in setup for the sequel i assume). They fixed and added some interactions with traversal equipment, added a stun gun for combating mules, it all just seems like tweaks to improve on monotony aspect.

sorry you don't have media literacy and can't appreciate anything that is slow paced; your brain rot must be severe.
