I get high when I play so that may make my opinion dogshit but i digress.
I will be honest I was bored to tears in the beginning but I took an edible right before I started up the game... boy howdy was that a good Idea.
I did the start up and started playing the cutscenes. As soon as it got to the part in the cave with the sexy woman with the umbrella my high was starting to kick in a little. I then became hooked when those weird BT hands were stomping around.
the story is so crazy stupid and outlandish you really get into it when you are stoned, it's like a weird covid quarantine doomsday with lovecraftian horrors and you become a usps worker for eldrich horror ruled ruined america with themes of ocean horrors exclusively.
I also get major dopamine from the likes system from fellow players.
you get likes from other players using your equipment / signs or using structures you've built. with those likes you rank up some of your character skills. I have become addicted to just aiding others by building ladders in good spots or bridges over awful territory, I log onto it like a job to place more stuff for others to use.
And the characters are flat most times and have that metal gear stank to them like fucking diehard-man.
it is probably a 7.7/10 for me, buy it on sale, preowned, or pirate it tho.
