I understood, but was it a mistake to participate in the First World War? The Germans would not have been able to reach the British Isles from the fleet. In fact, the French wanted the First World War more as a chance to regain Alsace-Lorraine.

probably, i don't know much about ww1.

what i do know is that an austrian duke got assassinated by this serbian nationalist group.
which led to austria declaring war on serbia, which led to russia declaring war on austia because russia and serbia were allies.
but because germany was allies with austria, they declared war on russia.
the french supported the russians which led to germany declaring war and france and attempted to invade it through belgium which led to britain declaring war on germany.

but yeah, it would make more sense to let the french and germans fight and kill each other and then enter the war when theirt both weak.
britain could have made france a british colony and take some german land too.
