I saw this post on instagram about loneliness

The post listed all the negative impacts on the brain, body and mind, of having zero social connections for long periods of time. But the comments are full of "I like being single", "never want a relationship again" etc. etc.

I'm 29 and really desire a gf (despite the disadvantages it brings), reading these comments makes me feel wrong for wanting that.

Of course, it would be good if I stopped wanting, as I can't get one anyway.

Seeing couples makes me depressed big time

It would be nice to have a foid companion to take to the beach, restaurants, and malls.

For me, not only do I not have a gf, i have no friends whatsoever. The last time I was able to joke around with friends and socialize was back in high school and college which was over two decades ago.

Nowadays I talk to myself randomly out loud.

Long term isolation would drive anyone insane.

Yes, they still have options available and that makes a huge difference on how they perceive their situation and the feelings it brings

But the thing is they will always just end up fucking someone on a night out etc LOL

I agree. I just can't help wanting it. Sex isnt even the main reason I want a gf. I want to be wanted, do activities with her and cuddle. Maybe it is my autism, but there is this very particular girl I saw on insta and I want her but she does not even know me! I cannot help it.
