He was breathing through his mouth. He wasn't ugly, but he could have been so much better looking. His chin was slightly receded and lower third a bit downward grown. His midface seemed normal length. 

He could easily been a Chadlite if he hadn't been breathing through his nose.

I think a recessed chin has much to do with genetics than mouth breathing.
