I scored the highest in my physics exam (105%) out of 700+ students so i was feeling mega cool

Some foid that sits next to me was talking to me about how her exam was really bad and she failed it (i have no idea why she was talking to me, she just gave an offhand comment)

I just said "oh, that sucks" and went back to my shit but she kept talking and bitching and moaning

"im a burnt out former gifted kid, I have so much talent I just don't know how to work hard"

without thinking i just said "if you were actually gifted you'd be in (top uni program in country), not here"

she got ultra pissed at me and told me i have no idea what it means to go through gifted education and how I dont understand her struggle

I just said that I also passed the screening for gifted education back when I was a kid and that she should take responsbility for her own failures

then I told her if she isnt doing well she should just drop the class LMAO

she ended up practically yelling at me later about how I'm unempathetic and rude and all i could think about in that moment was "would this bitch show empathy to me?"
