Each time my mother asks me when I'll get a girlfriend I start to drop statistics, studies and experiences on how modern society makes dating and meaningful relationships for ugly guys impossible. At one point we were watching a tv quiz show and one partecipant who was LTN tier and literally the definition of "nice guy" honest worker introduced himself and told he was single and open to relationships and my mother said with a bitter tone " Tsk appearently women today don't go for these guys, they go for shitty men and criminals" which surprised me in a good way; she even stopped asking for girlfriend at one point. Though she still thinks it's because of personality alone, even if she accepts nice guys lose she still doesn't belive looks have anything to do with it, nor that I am ugly.

I managed to open my mother's mind on certain things, like the JQ, but she still refuses to admit I'm right about women. I think she knows deep down, but she'll never admit it. At least she's accepted the line ends with me and doesn't bother encouraging me to date, anymore.
