Here in Germany, the average income is quite different compared to the US, so I personally can't really judge how realistic these figures are. Are you trying to tell me that all police officers in New York City live in some block in the Bronx? There are also cheaper alternatives, such as West New York in New Jersey, which is a bit on the outskirts. Or Long Island. I also can't estimate how much a German lawyer with a New York Bar Exam who is admitted to practice law there earns compared to the local competition. But if you go into government service in the US as a lawyer, for example in administration, you can certainly earn well, or you can go into business for yourself. You can't tell me that all the office workers in suits live somewhere in apartment blocks in bronx. my dream would be Brooklyn. and as I said. I just want to live a normal average NYC life.

You think you’ll join a Jewish community and live a good life but in reality communities in NY are insular, expensive to enter, and built on generations of capital and trust. Trading the relative stability of Germany for the imperial core in its decline phase.

Not saying the EU is good, but I have absolutely nothing in common with Americans, absolutely nothing. I feel repulsed by them, their culture etc, even though I'm White myself.
I dont see them as 'Europeans that drifted off to a different place', they feel alien to me.

M&A isn’t immune to geography, it’s tied to the health of the underlying economy and the US economy is no longer the boundless frontier it was in the 20th century. Yes NY is a global hub for corporate law, but it’s also the most saturated, high burnout, and cutthroat legal market in the world. You will be competing with Americans who have Ivy League JDs, deep family networks, and no visa constraints. And the firms that dominate M&A are beholden to global capital flows, not loyalty to individuals.
