Discussion I never understood why people like dogs so much

It might outrage a couple people here, but I seriously don’t get the appeal of them at all.
Mans best friend my ass, they’ll run out the door and never come back if you leave it open for too long
They often smell bad, and are hard to clean
A lot of dogs are aggressive and wild

The main thing I hate the most is normie dog owners. They are the most insufferable people on this planet. Their dog could kill a thousand infants and they’d claim it’s friendly and was just playing around
They go to unfathomable lengths to defend their untrained rabid dogs
That’s probably the main reason I don’t like them, cause of the people who own them

Other than that I’m decently fine with a dog as long as it isn’t a wild fucking mess
