I need your opinion on a self defense situation

A big land whale corners a 5’4 skinny guy, she’s trying to fight him, she corners him against the wall and a crowd a people are watching from behind cheering the fight on and recording. The skinny guy takes his book bag and coat off and puts his hands up to defend himself from this landwhale bully, they land some hits on each other and the fight is broken up. Who do you think is justified? This was my situation when I was 13, and to this very day as an adult I am still blamed for that situation.

I’m told I should’ve ran away, how tf could I have though if I was cornered with no escape. They say I shouldn’t have hit a girl, this wasn’t your typical girl though, she was much larger than me and could’ve caused serious damage regardless of her gender. Had she have been smaller or the same size I would’ve pushed her and fled the scene. But big burtha cornered me, and size is everything in a fight. What are your thoughts?

I would have tried to run but if there's no way out, I'd probably throw a 5 hit combo to stun then make a run
