I've thought about this before and in the tragic unlikely event that this were to be the case, tbh I would only want to be with an infertile woman (this includes 40+ women who were once fertile but now eggless, as long as they've not had kids before).
Otherwise you could end up in the scenario where even if your fertile 20 year old wife says she's not interested in kids, she changes her mind 10 years later and tries to guilt trip you into agreeing to let her get donor sperm which is just beyond the pale. It would be sickening as you'd not only be stuck with the knowledge your wife was bred by another man and not by you, but also be raising a kid where you, your wife and (at least when he's older) your "son" are all thinking "Mama is the real mother but papa is just the stepdad but we gotta pretend he's the real dad even if he's not" and it just won't be the same. You'd just resent her for breeding while you were denied such an opportunity. At least with adoption, you and your wife are both in the same boat (i.e. neither of you are the biological parent).
