I think their design is fascinating and I relate to multiple of them, including “Fingers” and “Armsy”, during my playthrough I had a hard time killing them because I had a lot of sympathy for them

Yes, learning the island’s secrets and lore was also very pleasing, if you liked the original game you’ll love this one too

I advise to play the first one but they’re not directly linked. It’s a brand new story with a lot more to explore, if you don’t feel like playing the first one I recommend checking quick videos of the lore just so you can be more immersed in the game afterwards
