I actually love one thing about the tech and AI explosion: Computer Science is pretty overrated!

Back in the day all these parents told their kids to learn CS not expecting that if MILLIONS of people go into the sector a lot of these people wont be able to stand a chance with the competition.

CS too is one of the "highest paying job opportunity" studies. Its all greed, most people I met at my Uni that DID study it fundamentally had no idea what CS is even really about, most believed they learn what Software Engineers do, and some of them did it really only for the pay - but had no clue to begin with what CS was about in the first place. One of these dudes said to me "Gonna learn how computers work, I always wanted that" dunno if i may not have understood the sarcasm here but he sounded like someone whos just in here for the opportunity.

Well guess what: opportunities gone!

Learning endless amounts of hard algebra, Operation Systems and network Management and then coming out of Uni with a Bachelor (IF they even survive, I think dropout rate in Germany is around 60%) and then get a clue that EVERYONE does it.

I aint feeling pity for them, they do it for the greed, to look down on the "lesser earner" mock the Philosophy students, look em in the face and say "Haha you should have learned something like me!"

Hey at least now you get an answer to the most important question:

Given a female population fem of size n find a girlfriend!

dudes be neeting for years in their parents basement after graduating with a CS degree lmao

to make a high salary in cs you have to be bright and high IQ. the qualification and experience needed have increased.

CS degrees were oversaturated 20 years ago.

Main field is honestly data security.

Or you go into AI like one dude I know, but you require a Masters degree + VAST understanding of machine learning.

But then you wont usually start at a corp but rather continue to work in an educational institution.

CS is basically: YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE SCHOOL!

"kids need to learn how to code"

I'm studying Computer Systems and Cyber Security at the moment now. I'm not sure what to make of this right now. AI is shit at coding anyways

CS too is one of the "highest paying job opportunity" studies. Its all greed,
Parents recomendation of jobs has been greed, "medic", lawyer" is all for the money. Boomer parents do this stupid thing instead of giving the connection to actually make big gigs.

It has always been an useless degree, I joined it cos it was relatively easier than the rest and allowed me a lot of time to rot and do my things

What are you doing now? Cyber Security or AI tech Supervisor?

Or self-employed 'something'?

What about enlisted cybersecurity in the US military?

I'm a programmer, I do gigs and work on jobs whatever comes my way but I stay away from Cyber security, AI and all other certification heavy stuffs, they drain you and usually are nothing more than dry credentials unless you're into something that's more or less into PM or managing or DevOps infrastructure stuff

Yes good job!

Brutal that it's oversaturated now.

I was interested since I was like 9 years old (started with Scratch), learned a bunch about operating systems, my first proper language was Lua and then I went to C/C++ and did a bunch of game modding/making hacks. If I wasn't playing vidya I was programming or reverse engineering something for fun.

This shit was basically my hobby and I coped that at least I would have a well-paying job. Now I can't even have that because these normie scums oversaturated these fields just because they want to make a lot of money. And now this AI garbage.

Life is just endless suffering for me. Can't have shit.

I wrote a hack for Garden Warfare once, Auto Aim and insta kill.

Released it for free because I raged about dudes spawn killing me with Chompers. That said I was not a noob. People started to gang up on the only Max level on the server.

Sadly russians stole it and had released it on a to pay site or they wrote a similar one dunno.

Got really obvious tho more PC users were using one couple weeks after I released that shit. By the time I deleted it, People already distributed the shit.

Unfortunately I couldn't beat Frostbite Engine used for PvZ GW2 on multi player, only solo mode and money was hackable.

I still have over 100 trillion coins on the acc and was max level after the first week of release. I think people reported me but Popcap never gave a shit lmao

I remember starting with Cheat Engine and having no clue how to use it and being called a skid and then later on I was able to just stare at a bunch of numbers in a memory editor and debugger and could immediately tell what I was looking at JFL.

Yeah, CE bought fun to browser games before browser games died.

Sad CE is trash nowadays, havent played or used it since 2019 but back then all games updated and New games had Server based currency and stats and even CE recognizion.

I had to use it over Sandboxie to not get detected by the server system but only multi player games instantly people recognized me and I got warnings.

Even the fucking single player games now all had Easy Anti-Cheat and even Single players kicked me the moment I connected to CE (even over Sandboxie).

Shit wasnt fun anymore and Games started to suck and eat away my time anyway. I quit then.

Cant fucking grind hours to get some piece of gear or pay micro transactions so EA and Kingsisle can have their greedy ways with me.

At least theres still pros in the hacking community that throw in their money and energy to work against the industry and for the fun of the game.
